Here's What the Future of Healthcare Communication Looks Like

Medical error is the third leading cause of death and contributes to 10,000 serious medical complications every day.  80% of these errors occur secondary to miscommunication during transitions of care.

Patient centric healthcare as we currently practice it is a failed philosophy.  

Why? Because focus only on the patient, task, and team members in front of us. It is often about OUR interaction with the patient instead of understanding the patient journey and the TEAM that is required to care for the patient. We should be focusing on the patient outcome and how our decisions and treatments affect all other team players and the patient. This can be hours, days, and even months later.

In reality, the care team is comprised of teams and individuals from multiple different healthcare entities with different areas of expertise all centered around a common goal. We need a real-time team communication platform that crosses healthcare entities.  

The future of healthcare:  CONNECTED TEAMS. And this is what it looks like:
