Pulsara Releases Version 10.4, Allowing EMS Users to Specify Patient Acuity Level

Pulsara Releases Version 10.4, Allowing EMS Users to Specify Patient Acuity Level

With Valentine’s Day just behind us, we want our users to know we only have eyes for you — and that’s why we’ve been working hard to bring you Pulsara Version 10.4 - Acuity!

With the release of this version, EMS users now have the ability to specify their patient’s acuity level so that the hospital team can prepare appropriately for the patient’s condition upon arrival.  Once enabled, the Acuity field will be set by EMS and will be viewable by all users on the EMS card on the General and Trauma patients modules.

If your team is ready to enable this feature, your EMS Admins can do so by simply selecting the appropriate defaulted list for your region. The following acuity types may be set up as agreed upon by your team:

  • Critical, Emergent, Low, Dead
  • Priority 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Code 1, 2, 3, 4
  • Code 3, Code 1
  • Emergency (Critical), Non-Emergency (Low)

Standardized List Across Your Entire Region!

Once set up, a “NEMSIS” category will automatically be associated to the selected list so that we can standardize the list across your entire region of care. Getting all clinicians on the same page, speaking the same language is the name of the game!

Changes All Users will Notice to the Platform in Pulsara 10.4

Once enabled, the Acuity field will be set by EMS and will be viewable by all users on the EMS card on the General and Trauma patients modules.

And, to make your lives even simpler, Pulsara provides the ability to see the acuity field after the case is stopped on the single case export, bulk export and when viewing on Manage Cases.

10-4 for 10.4? Over and out,

Team Pulsara
