No Power? No Problem. Pulsara Has You Covered.

No Power? No Problem. Pulsara Has You Covered.

We have a saying in Montana: If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes and it will change. And springtime in Montana often brings blizzards and hail storms one minute, followed by sunshine and blue skies the next. Seriously!

Pulsara is headquartered in beautiful Bozeman, MT.  We are surrounded by some magnificent mountain ranges, endless rivers and streams, but the crazy late spring weather means sometimes we are hit with random power outages.

storm.pngAs I sit in my office, with no power, during this nice May “Winter Storm Warning,” I am still able to be productive and work almost as normal. I can still communicate with my team members in Texas, the East Coast and the West Coast. Despite our local power blackout, cellular technologies allow me to keep afloat even though the milk in my fridge is curdling as we speak.

It's amazing really.  The lights don’t work, the fridge is getting warmer and warmer, my house is getting colder and colder, but I am still able to communicate with my teammates.

I have heard our sales guys talk about this perk as it pertains to Pulsara, but until now, I hadn’t really thought about its impact.  Because Pulsara can run off of WiFi or cellular, communication between the field and the hospital never falters, even in unpredictable Montana.  That’s pretty amazing if you ask me.  This is all to do with the great infrastructure our developers have put in place. Our servers are in a secure, redundant location isolated from most of these types of blackouts.  I just fired up my Pulsara instance to confirm ... test alert sent!

So, although I am bundled up in a blanket, have a couple layers of clothes on and my newly planted trees are getting pummeled with snow, my communication with my team has not halted. And when your team is a critical care team and lives are on the line, THAT is what matters.
