Case Study: Good Shepherd Medical Center Awarded for Superior Stroke Care

Bozeman, MT — Pulsara is thrilled to announce that a long-time Pulsara client, Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC), has recently been awarded the Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award in recognition of their success in implementing quality improvement measures for stroke treatment as defined by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.

case-study-good-shepherd (1)Thanks to the superior door-to-needle times GSMC staff was able to achieve for its patients (over 75% of the hospital's stroke patients received medication within 60 minutes of arriving at the facility and more than 50% of GSMCs's stroke patients received medication in fewer than 45 minutes), the facility also received the Target Stroke Elite Plus designation. 

The aim of Get with the Guidelines-Stroke is to help hospital teams provide the latest in standards of care for their patients in efforts to reduce case times for stroke patients - which ultimately reduces hospital length of stay and reduces complications, disability and death rates after a stroke.
