Bozeman, MT — Pulsara is thrilled to announce that a long-time Pulsara client, Good Shepherd Medical Center (GSMC), has recently been awarded the Get with the Guidelines-Stroke Gold-Plus Quality Achievement Award in recognition of their success in implementing quality improvement measures for stroke treatment as defined by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association.
Thanks to the superior door-to-needle times GSMC staff was able to achieve for its patients (over 75% of the hospital's stroke patients received medication within 60 minutes of arriving at the facility and more than 50% of GSMCs's stroke patients received medication in fewer than 45 minutes), the facility also received the Target Stroke Elite Plus designation.
The aim of Get with the Guidelines-Stroke is to help hospital teams provide the latest in standards of care for their patients in efforts to reduce case times for stroke patients - which ultimately reduces hospital length of stay and reduces complications, disability and death rates after a stroke.
