BOZEMAN, Montana -- March 27, 2019 -- The Tech Tribune has named Pulsara one of the 2019 10 Best Tech Startups in Montana. The designation was based on a number of factors including revenue potential, leadership team, brand/product traction and competitive landscape.

Pulsara is a cloud-based mobile healthcare communication platform that spans the entire patient care journey. The only platform that brings together in-hospital (intrafacility), between hospital (interfacility) and EMS (prehospital) communications, Pulsara is used for any acute patient — regardless of location. With Pulsara, EMS agencies and hospitals reduce risks during transitions of care, increase efficiency in interfacility transfers, improve turnaround times for EMS, improve capture of registration and billing information, share video of any injury or condition, eliminate costs for ECG transmission and reduce costly false activations.

What is the draw to Montana? Access to tech jobs coupled with lifestyle. The University of Montana Bureau of Business and Economic Research (BBER), in their recently published 2019 Montana High Tech Industries report, unveiled that high tech pays more than twice the median earning per Montana worker and represents the third highest-paying industry in Montana.

For the fifth year in a row, the BBER survey found that Montana’s quality of life – its lifestyle, the work/life balance, the recreational opportunities and the beauty of the landscape – provided significant advantages to doing business in the state. Survey respondents also mentioned Montana’s high-quality workforce as a major advantage. The full 2019 Montana High Tech Industries report can be downloaded here.

"At Pulsara, we believe it's all about people, and that's why we've hired people who align with our company mission and values,” said Kris Kaull, Chief Marketing Officer at Pulsara. “While our staff is made up of both remote and local Montanans, communication between our Bozeman-based headquarters and remote offices has become more seamless with better tools and connectivity, which makes living and working in Montana easier than it has ever been."

High-tech companies continue to be an important component of Montana’s economy, generating more than $2 billion in revenue in 2018 and growing at rates up to nine times faster than the statewide economy, according to the study

"We are proud of the high quality team that we've built at Pulsara. We balance innovation and pragmatism, with hard work while still taking advantage of the Montana lifestyle. We are planning to expand our technical team here in Bozeman with great people who align with our company mission and values." - Erich Hannan, CTO, Pulsara.
