Improving Rural Cardiac Care
Josh Neff, CEO of CommonSpirit Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO, joined the American Hospital Association's Advancing Health Podcast to discuss CommonSpirit's initiative to use Pulsara alongside local EMS agencies to better serve time-sensitive cardiac patients in their rural Four Corners region. Since implementing Pulsara, CommonSpirit reduced first medical contact to reperfusion time from 130 minutes to 84 minutes — a 35% decrease. Read our coverage of the podcast here.
Achieving a Record 18-minute DTN Time
Despite already strong performance, teams at St. Bernards Medical Center identified opportunities to further improve their stroke patient care. By using Pulsara to reduce treatment delays and improve communication, the team achieved a record DTN time of 18 minutes and improved their sub-60-minute DTN rate by an average of 48%.
