With unparalleled experience as both a clinician and a business leader, Tim Hakamaki, RN, BA, EMT has driven innovation and positive change in healthcare for over 25 years.
As a clinician, Tim spent over a decade working in the trenches as an EMT and firefighter, as well as working as a CCRN Certified Registered Nurse in the ICU and Cardiac unit. From this experience, he developed a passion for improving healthcare workflows.
Tim was the founder and creator of several successful healthcare products over the last two-plus decades and spearheaded an entrepreneurial healthcare information technology company that offered remote data collection and centralized data management solutions for the healthcare industry. He has also helped design, build, and support Revenue Cycle Management solutions for several healthcare industries. With experience in design, sales and marketing, customer service, human resources, operations, leadership, communications, and organizational management, Tim enjoys creating products that ultimately help improve patient care.
Today, Tim serves as Pulsara’s Senior Vice President of Product working with all internal and external teams to enhance the healthcare communication experience. As Pulsara’s product strategy head, Tim leads the company’s efforts in product roadmap development, managing priorities while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity of the platform, and ultimately building products that will improve the lives of patients and caregivers.
When not changing the healthcare landscape, Tim spends his time helping with youth programs and volunteering with the local community. But his greatest passion is his family. He and his wife, son, and two daughters enjoy hunting, fishing, basketball, football, volleyball, track, and spending time at their cabin in northern Minnesota.
