Kate works as a paramedic in Boulder, as well as a Client Services Specialist for Pulsara! As a youngster Kate was an avid fan of the television show Rescue 911 and knew at that point in time she wanted to work on an ambulance some day. Sticking to her childhood ambition, Kate pursed her EMT certification shortly after high school graduation, and then went on to attend the paramedic program at the Center for Emergency Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
Most recently, Kate’s educational endeavors have led to her being a 2017 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs with a Masters in Public Policy and Management. Through Emergency Medical Services, Kate has had the opportunity to serve others as a paramedic in communities in Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, as well as in other areas of the country while on deployments with the National Disaster Medical System. Prior to joining the Pulsara team, Kate had worked full time as a prehospital care coordinator at Allegheny Health Network in western Pennsylvania.
As Denver residents, Kate Leatherby and her dog Chatham, are a perfect fit for the area with their love of hiking, sunshine, and live music! Kate also enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and travel adventures with her partner, Adam. Some of these recent adventures have included visiting John Muir’s beloved Yosemite National Park and hiking Half Dome, hiking on a glacier in Iceland, going snowshoeing for the first time in Breckenridge, going sky diving for the first (and last time) in Moab, and visiting Arches, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Rocky Mountain, and Sequoia National Parks.
When she's not on the move, Kate loves vegan cooking, reading, antiques, yoga, health and wellness, and has a deep and profound love and respect for animals and nature.
We are fortunate to have Kate representing the Pulsara team to our new and existing clients!
